Hi everyone, I've had a few rough days, struggled to keep food down, throwing up, crying, stressed, hair falling out, uggggghhhhh. Well, these are normal GP symptoms. So for hair loss I'm taking omega 3,6,9 oil one tablespoon per day, vitamin D, it helps. Throwing up, I need to drink my meals earlier. 2 hours prior to bed nothing but water. In the last few days, I've only been able to tolerate 500 calories per day. Not good. Losing weight. Also not good. Teeth are sensitive and I'm checking into veneers, need pre-authorizing from insurance then its good. Well, I need my rest, have a great nite, talk to you soon...Blessings

142 lbs maintained from yesterday - :)
Happy Friday everyone, well I have good news, i want everyone to know that juicing veggies is awesome and going to a health food store to get ideas and supplements works. I had pureed veggies and made a soup recipe from www.CrystalRome.com yesterday with sweet potatoes and some other yummies and it stayed down, no heartburn and along with meal replacement high calorie (400 per shake) protein shakes; i was able to bump up my calories and maintain my weight for the day.
I want to encourage you to do the same, the healthier you are the longer you can fight back and live!
I also joined a support site that is called GastroparesisPatientsgroup@yahoogroups.com, i receive daily emails of other patients and comments, some symptoms some questions.
I read one yesterday and I want to share some research information. I recently was at my dr's office, gp, at the end of the visit she offered me pain medication, in the form of narcotics. I went online and looked up narcotics and Gastroparesis, THEY DONT MIX!!! The study from Ohio State University stated that narcotics accelerate the progression of Gastroparesis condition symptoms and listed ones to avoid.
So ask lots of questions, do your research and be aware of what is prescribed to you and how it affects your condition or symptoms.
I hope everyone has a good day, enjoy your families and friends.
Together lets fight this and find a cure!!!
Blessings,
Regina

Hi Everyone, well today was not so good, I got out of bed, didn't sleep good because nights are the worst; lots of acid and stomach pain. I walked into the living room got water, took my Zofran for nausea, back to bed until noon. Felt much better. Then the usual, restroom, brush teeth, get on the scale (kinda like playing the lottery) wondering if I maintained my weight or lost weight. Bad news, lost a pound.
So, go to kitchen, protein shake, drink it. water, then I got a recipt for soup yesterday from http://www.crystalrome.com/ and decided to try her sweet potatoe puree soup. Load ingredients into the Ninja, this blender can puree a tree :) 3-5 minutes later seperate portions, warm up my first portion, add a little sea salt for flavor, the remainder in containers and into the freezer. I ate my portion, very yummy, natural and kept it down. not sure of the calories but tons of vitamins, all fresh, natural, great for my nutritional needs.
Frozen yogurt 1 cup, more water, water is always available and necessary, have to stay hydrated. Oh by the way, at this point, I cannot drink gatorade, burns stomach like fire, back to water and protein shakes.
I would have to say that at this point, im 8 days post surgery procedure of botox injections into stomach through endoscopy, my GI DR. is following me, no visits necessary, he is booked until October anyway, we keep in touch via email or phone calls to his secretary of my weight, any changes in condition or diet.
I am still on all liquids nothing that has to be chewed, but i did eat a half of avacado yesterday. I know it sounds crazy, but it was the best thing ever!!!:)
My goal at this point is to stay positive, maintain my weight, remain healthy, seek nutritional recipes and continue to BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF PRAYER AND HEALING.
Blessings to all who read this and if you suffer from Gastroparesis Syndrome, DON'T EVER GIVE UP!!!

Hello, my name is Regina Hernandez, I recently was diagnosed with Gastroparesis, Early Satiety Syndrome.
I dont know much about this disease yet, other than it doesn't have a cure YET. The reason I say YET, is because I am determined to be cured of this disease and I am going to fight for the cure. For all of you who have been suffering from this disease, Don't give up, this is not the end! This is the beginning of a revolution of a cure and a new way of life for all of us. You are probably thinking I am crazy, but I know it's possible.
I am CEO of Rags2RichesEMO, 501C3 charity, I have 3 great boys and an awesome husband. Not to mention amazing parents. I have a strong support team and I don't take that for granted. I homeschool my 3 boys, I'm blessed enough to stay home with them and raise them while my husband works. I have a charity that reaches out to hurting teens and I will never stop doing that, that is my passion in life. I thrive on seeing kids overcome their barriers/obstacles in life with the love and encouragement of our foundation and our volunteers.
My goal is to help find better care, support groups, answers for questions, compassion for comments, and eventually find a cure for all of us.
So thank you for stopping by my page, feel free to post comments, message me, visit me on my FaceBook page too :) Also I have a friend who has an awesome healthy lifestyle website, she has recipes that you can copy and their absolutely delish...I know, I've tried them, the soups and the smoothies. Her name is Crystal and her website is www.CrystalRome.com she is also on FaceBook.
HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY
